A New Dimension in Dementia Care
ActivCare has always been a pioneer in residential memory care. We have a long-standing history of caring for those with memory loss due to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
For the last 35 years, we have cared for residents with Frontotemporal Disorder, Lewy Bodies dementia, and Parkinson’s dementia to name a few. No matter how memory loss presents itself, our caring expertise has allowed us to provide connections with individual residents in a compassionate way. We pride ourselves on being memory care experts, and we approach each individual with dementia as a unique and special person who is in need of our support.
Expanding our Mission with a New Partnership
ActivCare is once again expanding its mission to enhance the quality of life for those with memory loss by embracing an underserved population– individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) affected by dementia.
ActivCare Living has entered into a groundbreaking pilot project with Noah Homes, the recognized regional leader in the care of those with IDD diagnosed with dementia. This innovative collaboration will provide a pathway for those with IDD and dementia to live in ActivCare residential memory care communities.
ActivCare communities are specially built for those with memory loss and offer meaningful, life-enriching activities all day, every day.
- Residents from the Regional Centers will join the existing senior residents and will receive the same benefits from the robust schedule of events at every ActivCare community.
- Each community has dedicated staff trained to work with person-centered plans.
- In addition, Regional Center clients will enjoy daily connections with the community, volunteers, and entertainers, plus partake in adventures in local parks and outdoor activities.
