The September 20 Town Hall Forum entitled, “Living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and Making Each Day Count,” provided useful information and resources.
Dr. Sewell’s presentation was extremely informative. He emphasized the importance of communication, assessing if a medical illness is affecting changes in behavior, and he discussed redirection as a technique to address adverse behaviors.

During Dr. Sewell’s talk, he discussed the Beers Criteria List of Medications that older adults should avoid or use with caution.
With thirty years of experience helping families, Todd shared his unique perspective and provided some lessons learned. He cautioned against delaying decisions and encouraged planning for the future.
