Mount Royal Towers Retirement Community has a full continuum of health care on site, including ActivCare - Residential Memory Care. ActivCare at Mount Royal Towers is a specialized care program assisting residents throughout all the stages of dementia and memory loss.

ActivCare is an innovative program that bridges the gap between retirement living and skilled nursing care, by recognizing what people with Alzheimer's really need - activity, security and unconditional caring in a supportive, comfortable environment. ActivCare is designed to help residents maintain a high level of self-esteem and dignity through activities and a home-like setting.

Private and semi-private accommodations are offered and include the following:

• 24-hour activity program specially designed for those with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia
• Assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Medication assistance
• Three nutritious meals daily
• Escorting to and from meals and activities
• Housekeeping and laundry services
• R.N. case management

An R.N. Case Manager is available to assess any potential new residents or answer questions regarding desired living services or levels of care.

In addition to long-term stays, ActivCare at Mount Royal Towers also offers short-term or respite stays to provide family caregivers with a much-needed break.
